Political Correctness

One of the most corrupting influences of current elite culture is its success in popularizing a set of beliefs it defines as politically correct and in demonizing views that challenge those beliefs.

Political Correctness (PC) is both political propaganda and a belief system. Its use for political control in totalitarian systems is obvious, but how did PC gain such traction in a democracy where the freedom to express one’s opinion is protected?  By controlling hiring decisions and rejecting those with conflicting viewpoints the Left has gained such dominance in the institutions that shape public opinion: our educational systems, mass media, entertainment industry, etc. that, by enforcing political correctness, they have been able to effectively censor an objective analysis of the evidence in many critical areas affecting social policy, and weaken many important moral concepts.

Political correctness is similar to religious belief in that all religions have belief systems that are politically correct for the faith.

The Left has undermined traditional morality, inadvertently with social programs with misaligned incentives that discourage the development of individual responsibility and encourage dependency, and intentionally by replacing traditional moral norms with politically correct concepts such as social justice, moral relativism and multiculturalism; even changing word meanings to de-stigmatize such things as illegitimacy, abortion, etc. There is a loss of the concept of the admirable, of what is honorable, of what constitutes virtue.

Political correctness even impedes the use of human genetics research involving intelligence and/or character potential. Only PC could smother an understanding of the relevance of this enormously important subject when we now know so much about genetics and how characteristics of parents in all species are passed on to their offspring. The moral loading of the term racist stifles research and understanding of how races differ in various types of abilities.

A population’s level of intelligence is critical to how government and society work.   It is dangerous to ignore human genetics in predicting the types of societies that can be expected to evolve from various types of populations. The character of a government and a society is greatly influenced by culture and custom, moral climate, traditions, etc., but good government has to have the right raw material in its human population.
